Our Story
Founded by a disillusioned Wall Street hedge funder, Prospero was created to level the playing field in investing by reducing the outsized advantage financial institutions have over retail investors. They may track the web pages we visit, follow credit card swipes and camera data to see how much we spend, what we buy, and who we buy it from, but collectively, we know more than they do. We envision a world where everyday people work together, anonymously sharing their data to help create trading insights, available to everyday people, that are far more powerful than any currently in use by institutional investors. Together, we can compete. We have bootstrapped a great team of mostly part time contributors who do this while they attend school or work day jobs because they share a passion for seeing the financial markets work for everyone.
